Amazon has a DVD release date as Jan 9, 2007 and a NICE shot of the cover - with Matt smack dab in the center. Check it out HERE.
The UMSFC Picture Gallery has had a MAJOR overhaul!
Den has worked very hard on a new layout for the picture gallery,
which you can find the same as you always did - by clicking the
gallery link above. It's newly organized and the gallery for Dementia
has finally been completed (we honestly have no idea why it was never
finished before now).
So stop by! Check it out. We'd love to hear what you think.
Den & EMA
Many thanks to all of you who have already contributed toward our expenses.
We can't tell you how much that means. A couple of people have asked how much
more we need to keep going, so let me tell you where we are.
We received enough contributions to the community chest that we have just
renewed this board's gold community status for another year. Thank you!!!
*applause*
Thanks to your contributions, we now have about $175.00 in the bank. That's
9 months of web hosting with nothing else. Ideally, we'd like to have some
cash to build up our prize cabinet again - first, in order to send thank-yous
to all who contribute, and then we'd like to be able to start up the monthly
drawings again. Another strategy we'd like to start again is business cards.
When we first launched, we had business cards printed with the fan club logo
and the web address, and we sent them out to anyone who wanted them to pass
around. It's a good way to spread the word about Matt and his career.
Also, since I wasn't organized enough this year to do a good birthday binder,
I thought we might like to do a Christmas card binder for Matt, so we'll need
some cash for that, as well. We'll have other postage expenses, too - mostly
for sending out prizes.
So the answer to the question "How much do you need to keep going?" really
depends on what you want us to do. The more active we can be, the more attention
we can draw to Matt, and that's the whole purpose of this club - to promote his
career, and to provide a place for his fans to gather and talk about him.
Den and I are willing to continue doing the work as long as there's a desire for
UMSFC to exist. At this point, we're really empowering you to tell us how active
to be. We'll do as much as we can with whatever money you feel appropriate to give.
And as always, we deeply appreciate your support. We wouldn't have made it four
years without you. That's right, YOU.
*hugs all 'round*
EMA & Den
It occurred to us that y’all might like to know how money is
spent around here. So here’s where we are:
Web hosting:
$18.00/mo. We’ve researched other packages and hosting
sites, but for our storage and bandwidth needs, this is
the best option. It leaves us room for growth, which we’ll
need, considering that Matt has two new movies in the pipe.
Also, this package permits us to present a professional,
ad-free web site, which is more user-friendly and just plain
nicer for visitors.
Message board:
It costs about $60/yr to maintain our gold community
(i.e., ad-free) status on EZBoard. Again, this presents a
more professional and user-friendly image to members and
visitors.
Postage:
This is not a huge annual expense, but we do need to have
funds on hand to send thank-you gifts to our donors and to
send gifts to Matt on behalf of the fan club, for events
such as his birthday or even Christmas.
We would also like to have some funds on hand to
buy products and collectibles to give to our members. We’d
love to reinstate the monthly drawings, but without money
to buy the products and gifts, we can’t do that.
Neither Den nor I get any compensation for running
the fan club, nor will we ever take compensation for it.
This is a labor of love. We simply want to provide the
best possible experience for Matt’s fans, both old and new,
and to provide a solid base of support for Matt’s career.

Important Financial Announcement:
Friends, it saddens us to say that UMSFC may have to fold up its tent.
We have enough money in the bank to last just a few more months.
We don't want to disappear - there are exciting developments in Matt's
career just around the corner, and we want to be here to cheer him on.
We want to continue to be the "go-to" web site when you want information
about Matt. But we (Den and EMA) simply don't have the funds to continue
all by ourselves.
So here's where we ask for your help. If you
enjoy our web site and/or message board, please consider donating something
to help keep us running. We will still honor the sponsor levels, although
it may take some time to get a gift to you. But even if you can't reach
a sponsor level, every little bit helps.
Thank you for your continued
participation in our fan club. We wouldn't have reached four years without you!

Updated info:
Apparently the address we had for Matt's agent was no good, so here's another
one to try:

Pestiside.hu lists Matt as being a participant
here (though no further mention of him has been found). And the
article is below. (Please note the site can be viewed in flash

The highly unweildy and irritating Flash
animated official Gumball site lists some of the celebrities who will
make it to the starting line for this real-life edition of Wacky
Races:
Look out for 'Bam Margera' (MTV's Viva La Bam) and Ryan Dunn (Jackass) in Bam's purple Lamborghini that Billy Idol 'chain-sawed' a sun-roof into, along with skateboard legend Tony Hawk and action sports stars Mike Vallely and 'Rooftop' Escamilla in their Jeep, alongside MTV UK's Jackass styled "Dirty Sanchez" in their 'drift racing' Nissan, next to Love Actually film star Martine McCutcheon in her pimped up Range Rover, next to 'Goldie Lookin Chain' in their A-Team van, next to supermodel Jodie Kidd in her supercar, next to Fast & Furious' star Matt Schulze in his RUF Porsche, beside Freestyle MX legend Carey Hart and his pop star wife 'Pink' in their Bentley, alongside MX superstar Travis Pastrana in his WRX Sti Subaru; then catch a glimpse of hip hop legend Snoop Dogg doing an exclusive Gumball performance at our party in Las Vegas, and look out for 'rock god' Lenny Kravitz as he puts pedal to the metal, next to Blink 182's Travis Barker as they all race to cross the Rodeo Drive finish line!

Eonline:Ask Marilyn Beck
Dear Marilyn: What can you tell me about Matt Schulze from The Fast and the
Furious and Blade II?
Coco, Rodeo, California
Dear Coco: Schulze, who was a model in both the U.S. and Europe, does many of his own stunts. In The Fast and the Furious, he even rode on the hood of a truck that was going 80 miles per hour!
He also played the guitar in that picture. He's a songwriter and musician, plays the viola and guitar and attended classes at the Atlanta Institute of Music.
Come September 20, you'll see Schulze onscreen in The Transporter, a drama about a man who gets in trouble when he questions the contents of packages he has been hired to deliver.
